Northwich Sapphires presentation evening was held at Hartford Golf Club on Friday 6th June, the support for the club was apparent through the amount of people, players, parents and friends who came to celebrate the success of the club this year.
We raised money for the club through raffle prizes collected from parent and friends, a massive thank you to the Jones family for their donation of a signed giant tennis ball and Netball UK for a pair of netball trainers.
Sapphires awarded players, coaches and umpires for their hard work throughout this season and for all the hard word that goes into running a club. Well done to everyone that won awards on the evening.
One special lady won ‘Club Member of the Year’. Ursula Heath has been with the club for over 20 years as a player, coach, umpire and chairperson for the past 5 years. Ursh and her family are moving away from Northwich and she has stepped down as chairperson, an emotional and moving speech by Lydia Patterson finished off the evening of awards before the girls took to the dance floor to party the night away.
Here’s to another great year at Northwich Sapphires!
Thank you for all of your support.
